Finally decided to get a upgrade, now when we went to look for a new TV we weren't thinking of that as our living room isn't that big, and the space from couch to TV is relatively close. So it couldn't be too big if not we're way to close.
But this beauty was recommended by the tech at best buy and was on sale. Last one that had in stock. Got it for $1000+tax and he gave us extended warranty for cheap too saving us $100 on that as well.
Just tried it out for a day already and it's beautiful.
Now I original was telling myself to wait for the ps6 to come out. But with the resent postponed date release to public. I have been considering buying the ps5 pro.
Any suggestions, should I stick it out on ps5 for few more years till the ps6 shows up. Or get myself the ps5 pro.
( ignore the crop of photos, wanted to remove my girlfriends face and hands from the photo )

I have a 65″ Sony Bravia 8 “II” OLED and I think the PS5 is enough mate. The pro will definitely have some games that might look a bit better but the difference isn’t drastic enough to warrant an upgrade.
I’ve had the Pro for about a year now, I’m going to honest with you, the difference is almost nonexistent. Especially if you still play games on their respective 30FPS modes on the standard PS5.
You see, the Pro was advertised as a solution for having to pick between Fidelity and Performance modes on the standard PS5, however, it more often than not fails to deliver on that front, other than a few exceptions you’ll be looking at a bridging between those two rendering modes, think of it as a Balanced mode. A few games even look worse on the Pro—no fault of the hardware, rather the developer’s tendency to overlook these things, of course.
Really, if it wasn’t for the bigger SSD, calling the Pro an upgrade would be dubious at best. So unless you can’t stand playing games at 30FPS and are bothered by the image quality you usually get on your games being rendered on their respective Performance modes, I would advise against spending money on it and just wait until the PS6 comes out, I doubt it will take longer than 2027.
