    1. sony was very smart to introduce this tech a bit into the PS5’s lifecycle. by the time the PS6 rolls around it will have all the kinks worked out.

Hope so, PSSR’s current iteration is full of image quality issues. Sure, it looks better than FSR2/3, but it is still distinguishable from native 4K and often comes at the cost of image artifacts.

I’ve been disappointed with the PS5 Pro so far. It feels like it’s been a beta test for tech which might eventually become good in the PS6. Hopefully this will improve the games that are coming out.

    4. They made the exact same mistake early DLSS made. They expected devs to spend time making custom models on PSSR. Eventually DLSS made a one size fits all approach.

Sony were never gonna get this 100% in its first iteration. It took NVIDIA about 5 years before DLSS was really good.

    6. Is this actually going to matter? Devs are unlikely to go back and update their games for this and a lot of them have struggled so much with PSSR that the pro version is notably worse than the base PS5.

Hopefully previous games get updated automatically too. The Insomniac games suffer from issues that make them look worse than the base console, especially SM Remastered, Miles Morales and Rift Apart.
