This is only a problem if they start firing people because of the use of AI. If they use it to complement the work, and speed up development, I’m all for it.

According to google, around 140 people worked on Black myth wukong. If shift up was to use AI, they should need at least 2 people to make stellar blade 2, Director and the artist.

“Using AI” is a very vague phrase; most companies nowadays use AI to automate some kind of work. I don’t know why people haven’t gotten used to it yet.
This doesn’t mean the game will be entirely AI-made slop, only laypeople believe that.

I wouldn’t be worried as long as they are not starting to be lazy on creativity and art directions –
My understanding is that we the players are worried about AI slops that are purely lazy works on gameplay and designs (level and arts) – it feels very bad and rude that got fed something that’s no human touch and inhuman.

I trust Shift Up to be ethical with this. They’ve done nothing for me to think otherwise. They’ve respected their customers and their employees time and time again. So just because someone said the word “AI”, it doesn’t mean it’s automatically bad or “disappointing”.
