So I decided to purchase a PS5 in November 2023, and I went with the disc version, thinking it would be better in the long run more flexibility, physical games, resale, all that.
I also started my PS Plus subscription on day one, and honestly, ever since then, I’ve never really felt the need to buy games separately. The PS Plus library is huge, and big titles keep getting added regularly. There’s always something to play, whether it’s AAA games or smaller hidden gems.
In this entire year, I’ve only purchased two games, and both of them were digital. On top of that, I borrowed two disc games from a friend, but I haven’t bought a single physical disc game for myself.
Because of that, PS Plus has been totally worth it for me. Looking back, I feel like I could’ve saved some money by going for the digital PS5 instead, since I barely used the disc drive at all.
Still loving the console, no regrets
