i’ve tried solutions i’ve found online like toggling full screen/original, disabling icon scaling in the interface, etc. but nothing seems to work.
when i scroll down my profile it just cuts to black, no fade or anything. some of my other backgrounds don’t do this, but a few do. i feel like i wasted my steam points 🙁 is this intended or am i doing something wrong?
when i select “fullscreen” and view it in the web browser it looks fine if i zoom way out, but if i’m at my default zoom it remains cut off.

It’s always bothered me that the whole profile screen scrolls and not just the middle bar section. It defeats the point of most backgrounds especially the animated ones cuz they are only visible at the top of the profile then it’s just plain black.
To answer your question, your background is likely set to a different type of fill or tiling. Go to edit profile and you’ll see some options
