I just woke up to the awful news that Disney has quietly removed 14 games from Steam, including Disney’s Hercules, one of my absolute favourite games from childhood. It was just there in my wishlist and now… it’s gone and I can’t even buy it anymore. I’m honestly crying thinking about all those memories tied to that game.
According to reports, titles like Hercules, Finding Nemo, Toy Story Mania, Cars Radiator Springs Adventures and others were delisted without any prior warning, no heads up, no farewell sale, nothing. They just vanished from the store.
What other classic games on Steam do you think could be at risk of being removed next? Are there any titles you’re planning to buy now just because this happened? I’d really appreciate hearing your thoughts and experiences.

If only there was a way to preserve stuff like this…
i think u can still buy a key
The thing is that this release is the Emulated PS1 version of the game and isnt a native PC Port if i remember correctly. Trns out i was wrong and it was the Native PC version since the manual even got extracted to PDF
Anything that has an IP that can expire is always a possibility. Racing games with cars and tracks, music games that DO NOT USE IN HOUSE music, IPs with movies like Star Wars. Games in which the rights are up for debate. Games in which a remaster can wipe out an already released title.
Think that’s everything.
You can still buy a key from it from resellers. The only bad thing is that those keys now cost 30-50€.
Damn, got it for like $2 in autumn.
Disney is probably going to add games to Disney+ like Netflix. Why leave games on Steam that don’t sell at $5.99 and rot on wishlists when you can tack a few dollars on people’s monthly bills for access to a bundle of your old crap no one else is using anymore?
Hoist them colors, matey
If it was once purchasable and it meant so much to you why didn’t you buy it? Assuming it was just removed from the store to purchase. Your owned games aren’t affected
