I’ve had my current ps5 controller since 2023 and neither sticks are drifting I also have my current xbox elite 2 since 2022 neither sticks are drifting. I have a friend who burns through controllers every few months I genuinely don’t know how he does it. I’m probably just lucky
i had a lunar white controller used daily for a few years very very minimal wear, i let a friend use it for 4 hours and i got it back with a thumbnail dent on the right stick and the rubber peeled off the hand grips. some people are insane.

That’s how I felt. I would show my elite controller but the dust doesn’t help its case.

I see people grinding the thumb sticks down like bald tires and I’m just baffled.
However, I never had any issues with a controller until Battlefield 6. I’ve used the same controller for years. I don’t even sweat the game, but after the first week of playing, I developed left stick drag. I got a new controller and now my right stick kind of floats if I hold the controller upside down (doesn’t impact the game at all, just thought it was interesting to note).

I still have and use my OG Series X controller from launch day. Still looks brand new.
