As my old and trusted Edifiers recently died, I decided to focus on audio in this new iteration.
I bought a pair of Yamaha HS4 as a replacement, and while I was there I also changed/added a few more things:
– I've had a focusrite scarlett 6i6 2nd gen for many years, but I always had problems with it (with every os) as it desyncs for whatever reasons and audio stops working until I reboot the interface. I was fed with it and replaced it with Arturia Minifuse 4. I think it's a fantastic interface for its price, USB compliant and 2 headphones output
-
I've added my old trusty akai mpk mini underneath the desk shelf, I can easily slide it in and out when I need it

I have a digital piano on the opposite side of the room, running a midi cable and untangling the DT770 headphones would be very tedious and too much spaghetti, so I bought a pair of AIAIAI TMA2 Wireless+ and configured a custom bluetooth midi bridge on my system. Now I can enjoy a truly wireless experience with little to zero latency!
As a bonus, the secondary screen you see it's actually a microsoft surface go 3 (pentium edition) running nixos. It is a standalone tablet but thanks to sunshine and moonlight it can act as a fully fledged wireless secondary monitor. That's really handy for me, as I can easily detach it from the desk and put it on my piano while adjusting some things on the DAW/VST
That's it for now, see you on the next upgrade o7
