Does anyone know of a repair shop/place that does 3ds repairs? My 3dsxl has this big "black blob of death" on the top screen that makes it unplayable, and though I could do it myself, I really do not want to accidentally break something. So, if anyone DOES know of a place that'll repair it, please let me know. I'm in the Tampa area, and willing to ship.

Any ubreakifixit or that sort of place should be able to handle the repair for you. You could also ask on /console repair sub Reddit. I bet some of those guys do a mail in repair service.
RetroNorth Games in Thunder Bay Ontario is really good and has a mail in/out service.
