The inner grip rubber panels are deforming and look like bubbles. The other side is worse, but I started pulling it off to see if I could reset it and now I can't reattach it.

Nope. Any luck opening the controller up and trying to put it back where it was? There are many guides online to taking the controller apart but IIRC that black panel above comes off extra-easy since you pop it off for the replacement of the thumbsticks on the Edge

    2. Totally normal because it’s poorly built and both Sony and Microsoft insist in using WORSE materials for their “high end” controllers compared to baseline ones using plastic. Yeah, I’d have never thought to utter these very words but here we are. This same shit happened to me on two Xbox Elite (Series 2) and two DualSense Edge controllers. Rubber, or whatever the heck is the exact material they use, is dogshit for something that’s likely to come into contact with sweat; the fact these premium controllers are advertised as being “hardcore” adds insult to injury because you usually associate “hardcore” with “long gaming sessions” and durability. Of course they yield the opposite because they’re flawed by design.

    3. Yes.

It only gets worse over time.

There are some aftermarket parts you can put on to fix it.

    4. Completely normal because Sony cheaped out on their top end accessories. If you are going to buy something else I can recommend the new Razer Raiju V3. Far superior quality.

Same for headphones, Pulse headset is built like trash, buy Steelseries instead.

    5. Yes, the grip blisters and peels off over time (and yellows too…). You can find replacement hard shells on Amazon for $15-30, and that does the job.

Yup, that is a $200 controller for you. This is what you get when Sony cheaps out on your to increase profits.

Happened to mine, as well. Great excuse to rebuild the shell with parts from Extreme rate!

    8. Yup. Gets much worse. Honestly, you might as well just rip it all off now, because over the next 4-5 months the rest will peel up like that all around the outer edge and it just gets SO distracting

I think you can also find shell replacement parts specifically for that bit.

    9. Yes. I thought I was immune to it and above it. But it happened to me eventually too. Swapped with an extremerate half shell and am so happy about it. I’m not into modding and I found it easier then I expected

    10. i have two (one white i got at launch and one 30th anniversary) and both have had no issues. I play using both quite a bit.

Unfortunately, yes. With the white DS Edge. I also bought the Midnight edition and they seem to have used a different material for the rubber part and the black DS Edge doesn’t have this issue.

    12. Yes Sony sucks for this there is no excuse for this, happen to me no warranty or nothing best course of action get back plates on amazon or get another controller
