I was browsing/window shopping some limited edition DS’s/3DS’s on eBay and figured it would be fun to ask and see what edition of the 3DS (and honestly I’ll open this discussion up to DS’s and DSi’s as well) you all would consider a holy grail, “I gotta have this for my collection” type item.
Me personally, it’s a tie between the Pokemon Black DSi and the Kingdom Hearts 3DS. The former is because I’m a big Pokemon nerd and Gen 5 is my favorite, so I’d love to get my hands on one when possible. The latter on the other hand, I’ve recently been getting into KH and so I’ve been getting drawn to a lot of KH material. I also just like the look of it in general.
Also, if you’ve already achieved getting the variant of your dreams, feel free to show it off!

that black friday mario n3ds. can’t believe it used to be 100 dollars at some point
I used to have the Yoshi 3DS XL. Thing sadly offed itself in 2024, which made lose 7 yrs (at the time) worth of progress. My Miitopia save… my Tomodachi Life save… The demos I downloaded and YouTube… Never even got to mod it. And trying to find a cheap good condition ‘New’ 3DS XL is a nightmare to the point it is emotionally distressing asf.
I would love the persona q 3ds! But my current grail is the animal crossing 3ds XL since my sibling gifted it to me
My grail 3ds was the Black Friday n3ds, which I have gotten and adore – I would love the Pokémon black and white dsi combo for my collection as the next pick up though, as well as the Mario dsi xl

Honestly it’s the plain red new 3ds xl. Red is my favorite color and it’s the 3ds I wanted when I was younger but unfortunately just ended up getting a black one. I want to heal my inner child and get the one I wanted all along.
