Well, the first part is pretty much true. The second part about him being the “worst” ignores the fact that he was also behind the Wii’s extreme success, basically took all responsibility for the Wii U situation upfront, including a 50% pay cut, all so that developers could continue their work the best they could despite the poor situation, and was also behind the first year of Switch.

I wouldn’t bother. But if I did I’d probably look at Nintendo’s published financial value in 2002 when he became president, then compare it to the company’s financial value when he ended his tenure in 2015, and note how much he increased the company’s value by.

What was that thing people were saying back then? Nintendo would have had to sustain those kinds of losses for like 50 years or something before they went bankrupt.
Comments like this ignore his major contributions too. The made the compression algorithm that make Pokemon Gold and Silver possible. The DS, Wii, and 3DS were all successes. It was only the Wii U that flopped, and even then his leadership pulled the company through it. He is credited as being a major contributor to the Switch as well.

Even during the struggling Wii U era they had enough cash reserve to stay in business for another 25 to 30 years even if they lost money every year. He was also responsible for 2 of the best selling Nintendo systems and he started planning out there multi media push.
