Hey all. A few days ago, my cat knocked over my 3DS while it was charging (she gets on my desk for attention) and I decided to try it out today, only to realize it wouldn't charge. I wanted to see if I could just buy a new charger, or if the entire thing was damaged and needed repairs. If so, what should I do?

Port is busted. Look at the left pin, it isn’t making proper contact with the charger. A new charger won’t do anything for you, you need to fix the port itself. I recommend charging it somewhere the cat won’t have access to in the future.
could try bending it, but id order the proper replacement part and take the console and it to your local cell phone repair place, when i wanna mod or fix something and not do it myself – thats the go to! what model 3ds is it btw
Pro tip, you could still charge it with a wireless 3ds charging station! If this is a normal 3ds xl, you can use the original 3ds charging station and some tape (it’s a pretty stupid setup but it works for my 3ds with a busted port lol)
