Xbox just announced that Social Clubs are being removed from Xbox One and Series X|S starting April 2026.

From finding raid groups to sharing clips, these were a huge part of the community. How are we feeling about this?

    1. A weird choice, social clubs were very important to me when organizing games for Battlefield 3, Bad Company 1/2, and BF1942 before the servers got shut down.

    2. They were a cool idea, but unless you’re *very* socially active, there’s just not much going on with them. If they’d gotten more buy-in from 3rd-party devs (using Social Clubs to announce live game outages, patch notes, etc. instead of X/Twitter), the feature could have been great.

So lame, xbox will be extinct in 10 years lol

They’ve been nonstop killing any brand personality they’ve had in the past

Never used them a single time

Always seemed like spam or just ads/announcements from developers

    5. To be fair I rarely actually post to any of them, but I’m in quite a few and every once in a while I like to scroll through a couple to see screenshots or lfg posts. Kind of a bummer, but probably won’t be missed too much I imagine

Another sign of the death of Microsoft. First the expensive surge in game pass prices, and now they are removing social clubs.  If your wise you’d flee from Xbox and go to Sony or steam who are doing much better.

Let’s not also forget Xbox is now sharing it’s once exclusive games with Sony and other platforms, the very games that they made a substantial amount of money off of.

Xbox is in its red ring of death era. Leave now before you fall with them.

My guess is they’re being replaced so people have no choice but to use the copilot AI for help in games

More control, zero freedom of speech. This definitely wasn’t planned by WEF 🤦‍♂️
