Salvaged a dead webcam for a DIY PS5 headset mount. Is it safe?

Had an old Microsoft HD-3000 webcam gathering dust, so I disassembled it and repurposed the rubberized flexible stand as a hook for my GXT 489.

It seems solid and the rubber grip hasn't scratched the console, but I'm curious: is there any reason this might be a bad idea?

It's not blocking the main vents, and the headset is light, but I'd love a second opinion from the sub. Anyone else doing something similar?
