Hello! After a long period of procrastination to fix this console, I finally decided to give it a go and purchase a new bottom LCD as the old one was smashed. The console worked perfectly fine before the repair, but after doing the repair, the console just does absolutely nothing. No charge light, no power. Battery is good, as I made sure to charge it before tearing it down so I could test it without having to charge it. Unfortunately, I have absolutely no idea what the problem is, as these things can be a bit of a pain to diagnose. If anyone has any ideas at all, please let me know!!! I'm desperate to get this thing fixed, as it's a bit of a rare console, the Black Friday Mario edition in black.

please and i mean PLEASE tell me you made SURE the ribbon cables where correctly seated
Ribbon cable not properly attached. At least that’s the most common cause of this.
is the motherboard power connector correctly seated. it’s the one with the black and red wire.
This is looking at lot more like a power issue, the charge light doesn’t come on.
Screen ribbon cable misalignment still allows it to turn on briefly, and is most easily diagnosed with a popping sound as it turns itself back off, so it isn’t that.
Be sure to check for any other cables that may be disconnected (WiFi cable, Motherboard and daughterboard connectors, etc)

update, did notice this was bent over onto the components next to it. i’m assuming it’s made out of some sort of conductive material, but i can’t say for sure. also, i have no idea if it was touching the components at all, just working from the few things i can find.
