The executive in question is none other than Larry Hryb, who most Xbox users also know as Major Nelson. Hryb served as the director of Xbox programming for nearly 20 years, entering the position in 2005 and departing from Microsoft in 2023. Hryb was respected and loved by many for his frequent engagement with the Xbox community, which ties directly into his suggestion for Sharma.

One former Xbox executive, though, has suggested that she make a fourth commitment for the platform, and for its players in particular.

"That's a great start! Keep that in mind as you begin to build out your plan," he commented in reply to Sharma, and her commitments. "If I may be so bold, let me add one more: Partner with the community."

Sharma was quick to acknowledge the suggestion and respond: "You got it. Thanks Major."
