Game Freak and TPC may be clowns, but these companies are the entire circus

    1. I mean at least those companies do the pro consumer thing of doing great sales. Like EA sucks, but at least you can get the excellent Jedi games and Dead Space remake for like 5-10 bucks even though they sold amazing and are critically acclaimed.

Just because other companies also disrespect their customer base, we’re supposed to be OK when Nintendo does? Come the f on.

Just because some companies are worse, it doesn’t mean that Nintendo is exempt from criticism for questionable practices. A bad practice is a bad practice.

    4. I just don’t know why everyone has to make their opinion known to others they’ll never talk to again lmao if you wanna buy it, cool! If you want to emulate it, cool! So much anger over a nonessential purchase where their money isn’t being used. Also, folks, stop fussing when people don’t want to buy things you wanna buy.

    5. Pricing is set by the publisher, in this case Nintendo. So I’m not sure why game freak is in this conversation at all when they have no control over pricing.

The difference is that we actually want to play the classic Pokémon games, not the broken garbage that these other companies offer today. But we also want re-releases with modern features or fair prices. I’ll pass on being charged extra for old ROMs with less features than the GBA games on NSO.

    7. At least the 20 year old ports will have a decent framerate… very unlike their more recent offerings.

    8. You know, I agree that on the usual internet discourse I do think that more often than not Nintendo is criticized heavily for very silly reasons, while other companies are on a daily basis throwing shit like layoffs and studio closures, but that doesn’t make the shit GameFreak pulls any less bad, they get worse every generation and choosing the absolute worst and least consumer friendly way of rereleasing those GBA games was definitely a new low for them.
