I modded my new 3Ds (NOT XL) and I recently wired a Bluetooth chip to it. But after powering on as normal, I use the micro switch I added to power on the chip and it just powers off the 3ds. The only way I can repower it on if by removing the battery and putting it back on.
The weird thing is the Bluetooth chip worked upon initial testing and now I am afraid that it has a short circuit. Can anyone help?
Ok so update, I put in the SD card reader with the micro SD card in it, put the battery in place, connected the power ribbon cable, and apparently everything works???? I try using the switch first then powered on the 3DS and vice versa and everything worked and stayed on.

Wrap the chip in kapton tape? It will insulate it from touching anything else.
