I have an average 700$ Samsung tv. Not 120hz or OLED. Just 4k

I can’t afford a new badass tv AND the pro.

Dude I’ve been playing on 51” 12 year old Samsung and it’s dope lol don’t be ridiculous

Get it before prices go up and the extra hard drive space on the internal SSD alone makes up the price diff between the ps5 and the pro

    3. I think the Pro is kinda pointless, yeah… I recognize some improvements, but nothing that justifies its acquisition

    4. If you don’t have a TV that doesn’t support all of the pro’s best features, there’s no point in getting the pro

IMO, the Pro is only worth it if:
      1) You play games that benefit from the 40/120Hz High Frame Rate mode (Stellar Blade, Monster Hunter Wilds, etc.)
      2) You play games that benefit from 48-60Hz VRR (Elden Ring, Quality mode)
      3) You want the 2TB SSD, which is now at a premium (2x) due to memory costs

If your TV can’t do VRR or 120Hz there is really no benefit.

    6. I never regretted mine and so, so happy with it. But if you don’t have 120hz and HDMI 2.1 tv or can’t afford one I would say don’t get it

    7. I bought one last weekend and is fucking amazing, besides being a fantastic machine to play it’s a great piece of art to be right beside the tv.

Only if you want the best performance for GTA6. That’s the only thing that has me considering an upgrade since PS6 is likely pushed back with the insane RAM prices.

If you don’t have an oled get an oled, if you do and would like an incremental upgrade to a couple games… maybe.. I got mine for Rebirth and the difference is night and day, and it’s worth it for the next game, but a lot of other games don’t do much, some even get optimized wrong and end up worse.. I would say look into the specific games you are interested in, if you’re the type of person to buy a piece of hardware for just 1 game then.. yeah I guess. I did.

    10. I bought one this week, currently playing on an lg. non oled and it’s still fantastic.

4k 60 quality modes are what I really wanted. it’s great.

it is also a huge step up in storage from my fat, and it was easy to carry over my expansion ssd. very worth it given current storage prices .

    11. Depends what you want outta the pro. If you want 60fps with the best visuals possible it’ll be good, but you won’t be able to utilize 40 fps vrr modes which imo is the best way to use the pro.

    12. If the question is get a new TV or the pro I would recommend getting an OLED. I think it is a bigger visual upgrade than getting a pro on the same tv. Especially if you watch movies or anything else on it.
