Games are now taking a lot longer to install on my PC, specifically with steam. A game this size used to be a 15 minute install and now that time has doubled.

I built my PC about 2 years ago and downloads used to fly by, and now it feels like they have slowed significantly.

Anything I can do to fix this? (besides upgrading again). Im not the best with computers, tried a bit of fixing and tinkering my self using google like checking download region and clearing steam cache.

    Specs:

    Processor AMD Ryzen 5 7600X 6-Core Processor (4.70 GHz)

Installed RAM 32.0 GB (31.1 GB usable)

System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

Name NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER

    WD_Black SN770 2TB SSD (NVMe)

      because of your internet.

it has nothing to do with your pc.

because your download is ~90-100 mbps which is ahout ~12.5 mb/s, which i actually used to have.

    2. If a speed test is much faster, then your network isn’t the problem. Your drive is most likely the bottle neck. SSDs typically require a certain % of free space to operate optimally. Unfortunately they also degrade overtime. If you have the money maybe getting another drive could be an option.
