I don’t see this happening for Pokemon because they don’t want it to have the usual save cloud data system.

There isn’t a pattern. The two Collector’s Edition releases are merely coincidental, and not an indicator of a wider trend. Especially when we haven’t even seen a completion of the alleged “second cycle”.
Another thing to note is that the *Fire Emblem* eShop release was only for a limited time (because reasons), whereas FRLG don’t have such a timer.

Fire Emblem games were already being released on NSO, they just didn’t have any worldwide titles until the GBA was added to the service.

We’re not getting mainline Pokemon on NSO. And if we do it’ll only be gen 1.
