I feel like it’s worth noting that the vc was a few bucks for a game, as opposed to these which are $20 a piece

I actually prefer NSO ngl.
It’s caused me to try out some games I never would have otherwise, Sin and Punishment, Chibi Robo, and Wario Ware being notable examples in my case.
The only thing I hate is the drip feed but it’s not like Virtual Console was any better with that.

If given the chance, I would rather pay to own a game forever than pay to borrow a game with a subscription.

They’re both good

Yes, virtual console is better than nso. But I was hoping for a physical release.

I honestly prefer NSO for the discoverability factor. At least with NSO i’ve played games i refused to pay for in the Virtual Console days.
But game ownership? I’ll take that over NSO every day.

I feel like everyone has been begging for the return of the Virtual console model and now that Nintendo’s actually doing that with a heavily requested game everyone is complaining it’s not on NSO. Goes to show that opinions are diverse but people only speak up when they’re mad.

If given the choice to pay $5-20 per game that I would actually play and keep forever vs. $50 a year for a catalog of games that I will probably play 1/3 of at best, I’m taking the first option.

I mean yeah
If I could still access the virtual console I started paying for when I bought the Wii

I wish there was a way the two could co-exist. I vastly prefer Virtual Console, but I get why some people prefer NSO
