I know a lot of you still won’t believe her, but I, for one, appreciate her attitude and transparency so far.

I’m very optimistic for the future.

People are so weird. Like leave the lady alone. If you don’t like the jobs he’s done a few years down the line then sure let that be known (not by harassing her). But getting on someone’s case to see if they have enough “gamer cred” to run Xbox is just embarrassing

Agreed, she definitely needs to do an interview soon though because everyone wants to know her deal and to clear up some of the controversy that spawned from this past weekend. Her transparency is definitely a good sign for the future, hopefully that doesn’t change

    3. I dont think that she is the right fit for this job. I am really sad about recent Xbox news but man, leave her alone.
If you don’t like it, stop supporting Xbox, but don’t bully people.

    4. Yeah, I’m not buying this, feels like they’re trying to hard to play down the poor PR move of sharing a GT that shows little experience gaming.

Also, yes she probably wrote this post, but I’ll bet it was reviewed multiple times before being posted.

    5. The moment people found out she didn’t game and she worked with AI, they immediately made their decision and nothing will be good enough

She worked with AI so that means absolutely everything she does is AI

She doesn’t game so she doesn’t know about what gamers want.

      People are so toxic

    6. I mean, she’s not pretending to be a hardcore gamer. I can respect that. She could have tried to pull an Elon Musk, but chose to be genuine.

    7. Wisdom she’s allowed to have a chance and prove herself, but consumers are also allowed to look and be like oh hey this person doesn’t really have any experience in the thing that they’re supposed to be selling us

If I paid enough attention, and I noticed that an author doesn’t read books, Steve Jobs doesn’t use an iPhone, my boss doesn’t listen to his own rules, then I would move accordingly assuming I cared enough about that product.

People don’t need to be weird, but I understand where some people are coming from. I’m gonna give it a year as long as Xbox is still getting physical games I’m here.

    8. So the people saying she didn’t play all the games herself were right, just not in the way they thought? Go figure.

It’s good that this was posted and I’d say I’m cautiously optimistic; but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t still rather concerned about her background in AI though.

    9. Going off some of the replies I’ve seen under posts re: Asha, you gotta hand it to the gaming community for being good at constantly reminding us how unbelievably toxic and strange some of you are.

    10. I honestly believe that she did write her own post.. I think she was just trying to get some feedback and maybe get a feel on how gamers are.. and boy, did she get it..lol. She found out first hand that not only are gamers incredibly passionate about their hobby…but they are also some of the most toxic motherfukers in the world.. lol

    11. It’s a freaking gaming brand. Not life or death. Nothing lasts forever. Don’t like it? There’s other brands and platforms you can move to. That’s the best part, you have choice.

The internet and Reddit in general is just riddled so much with hyperbole. It’s really not that deep.
