    1. Read the whole quote dude. They asked her about xbox exclusives and she said everything is on the table plus what she said here. Pretty much she’s keeping the door open for xbox exclusives to return..

    2. it means nothing really… thats the beauty of this (magic) spelling… is so ambiguous it could be anything… “meet players where they are”… are they coming to my parents basement? i am kidding of course, i have no parents, nor a basement.. but you get my point. does it mean they will meet players needs? if thats so why not just say that…?

This people are just playing with you the consumer. they dont care about any of you.

Just safe marketing speel, we’ll see if anything actually changes, at least they say they will focus on first party hardware and dial back the everything is an xbox campaign which is a start.

    4. She’s saying it’s still the plan, with the caveat that, like with any business strategy, it could change down the line. She learned from Phil Spencer that if you say what the plan is without mentioning that the plan can change, when it does change gamers will come out of the woodworks to call you a liar.

    5. It means they will keep the current contracts with whoever wants to publish in playstation (the current plan), but they are probably dropping multi-platform in the long run.

The fact that Fable and Forza Horizon 7 are going to PS5 pretty much guarantees they aren’t backing off this strategy anytime soon. Corporate speak is cranked to 1000 with this quote.

How about we just see what she can do without a 1000 articles about her and her gamertag.

      Very Kamala Harris-esque

Edit: sorry, didn’t know a Kamala joke was absolutely forbidden territory lol

    9. All I know is that the next couple years will be very interesting to watch.

The interest in Xbox has never been lower. Really interesting in seeing what they do to correct this. It might be too late but who knows.

    10. Imagine if Windows Central had a real journalist that would actually at least attempt seeking clarification on statements like this.

    11. If you want to take it at face value she hasn’t had the chance to see the data and decide if things will remain the same or they will go back to how things were but it probably means shes going to keep putting games everywhere and just won’t say to avoid alienating everyone else thats hold out hope for the return of exclusives

    12. So in other words, don’t bother asking her what the plan is as she’s got little idea where to go with the company.

Look, people can do the whole “games are for everyone!” spiel but the fact of the matter is not having exclusives is killing Xbox as a console platform. As an Xbox console owner with a large library it’s in my interest that the platform doesn’t lose support and die off. Do I want Xbox to go back to having exclusives? Yes. Do I think they’ll actually do it? Not at all, even with Asha hinting at it but good God I want to believe.

If by some miracle the PS5 release of Gears E-Day and Halo: Campaign Evolved are cancelled, I’ll believe Asha can genuinely turn things around on Xbox.

Means she’s going to be watching you snacking on Doritos and Mountain Dew in your tighty whiteys thru your Spybox
