If you never erased your system, your Nintendo account should still be signed in. Go to Nintendo eShop on your Wii U, then go to account / downloads 🙂

The one you downloaded is just the update, maybe you have the game physically and forgot about it? Otherwise there’s a section on the eshop to redownload owned games
