    I’m half way through RDR1 on PS5, do I move onto RDR2 or wait for a 60fps update?



    I know it's a preference, but since playing most PS5 games 60fps I really struggle to go back to 30fps, so lots of me wants to wait for a remaster but I don't know if that's ever coming?

    I also don't want to miss out on playing RDR2 cos from clips I've seen it looks absolutely incredible but also as a first experience through the game and the story, I want it to be the best it can be.

    What are people's thoughts? What's the latest news regarding a 60fps update to RDR2?

      There are rumors about a 60fps update that should arrive, maybe this year. If you don’t mind 30fps and relatively long loading screens (even for PS5), then go ahead. It’s an enjoyable game nontheless

      It’s a hope and dream that Rockstar actually gives players a PS5, 60fps version. RDR2 may sit at 30fps, but it is no less spectacular and playable. Definitely experience it now.

      This is my exact thoughts too. I’m thinking may as well wait seen as though RDR2 came out 8 years ago but has a 60fps even been rumoured?

      I very much doubt there will be a 60fps update happening any time soon. Rockstar don’t tend to go back on finished projects to update them. 

      You’ll be looking at double 11 studios to do the rdr2 update, but I don’t think they have permission for the sequel yet.

      I wouldn’t hold off for it, it’s rumored to be coming by leaker NateTheHate, but he initially said it was gonna be coming by the end of last year.

      I think it’s in development but question remains when it will actually come. I would just play it now, you can always do a second playthrough in 60fps later.

      I’ve been praying to the game Gods for years that Rockstar releases a 60 FPS update for RDR2!

      Play the game, then when eventually the current gen version drops you have a good excuse to replay the game 😉

      I don’t think they’ll release anything now or soon that can potentially compete with the release of GTA6, that includes a 60 fps update to RDR2 that everyone, including myself, will instantly claw for. I could be wrong though. That being said, that game looks amazing for 30 fps and tbh I think it adds to the atmosphere of it. I think playing through it once for the story then waiting to replay it again at 60fps once you know more of what you’re doing is the best play.

      I literally get headaches when I play games that are 30 fps. I refuse to torture myself (headaches during gameplay) because a greedy studio refuses to listen to the fans while milking every dime out of gta 5 online.

      They have the money and resources yet refuse to give the customers what they want. Screw that game and rockstar.
