Based on the gold capacitor in your picture, I think you have a 1.6 model, but you will want to check this page against the one you have to make sure. 1.6 models have better clock capacitors that are less prone to leaking, but it could still happen. However, 1.6 models also need the clock capacitor to be present in order to function at all, so you cannot just rip it out like earlier models. It must be replaced if you see signs of leaking/bulging

Date where your xbox was manufactured? Its on the serial number on the bottom of the case
[This](https://www.cfretro.net/removing-the-xboxs-dangerous-clock-capacitor/) is what I read when I removed mine, and cleaned up after. Unfortunately my xbox was a lost cause and the leak had caused too much damage to repair.
