So it’s clear they want to do it themselves. The question remains why the hell aren’t they doing it ? Why not even a patch ?

    2. I really don’t understand it, are they at least aware that people are clamoring for a Bloodborne game that runs at 60FPS?

God damn, either they hated the demon soul’s remake that they don’t want to see other studios remake another IP and/or they just wanna do it themselves.

    4. Bluepoint should have immediately started a golden abyss remake after their live service game was ditched

This isn’t surprising at all. They don’t want anyone else to work on it. Sony obviously knows people want more and they’re not about to shy away from easy money. It was clearly always that it won’t happen without Miyazaki and he’s busy working on other stuff.

    6. Everyone is missing the point. Miyazaki thinks that the game is perfect as-is, even with the 30fps and occasional frame drops. He doesn’t want to change anything. It’s not about money, it’s about his pride in the work of art in his eyes. If you make something that you’re happy with that earned you lots of awards and recognition, then why change anything?

    7. I’m sure a lot of devs are protective of their IP and don’t want other people working on them

      I’m not super surprised tbh

It’s getting clearer and clearer that 99% of Bloodborne “fans” engage with the game solely for the 60 FPS/Remake meme (ie port beggers, begging Sony to remake or patch Bloodborne to 60 FPS and release it on PC).

Anyone with two brain cells would know that all of Soulsbourne is a tribute to Berserk, Miyazaki’s professed favorite franchise. Bloodborne is unique among Soulsbourne as the purest tribute to Berserk. Well, the mangaka of Berserk passed away a few years ago and clearly Miyazaki would prefer to pay tribute to the man’s legacy himself.

    9. I am 100% convinced this is a personal thing, someone high up at Sony is beefing with someone integral to BB

    10. And the truth keeps coming. This verifies the very simple outlook that some have had over the years. If the people in control of Bloodborne wanted to do anything with it, something would have been done by now. If Sony, in all their remake/remaster glory, hasn’t done anything with Bloodborne then they either don’t want to do it (They clearly do) or From has a say and they don’t want to do it.

Sony isn’t being lazy or dismissive. Glad people can drop that line now.

    11. I enjoyed Demons Souls when it released. While I am not a super fan of Demons Souls, I find it difficult to see what the problem with the Bluepoint remake.

    12. Good. Why spend time on a great game already?

Make new things. Zero reason to remake a game from last generation.

    13. If I made Bloodborne, I probably wouldn’t want anyone to touch it either. It doesn’t even need a remake.

    14. People finally starting to see that the “git gud” developer is actually just shitty and arrogant. There has never been a reason for their games to be technically incompetent. A small remaster studio was able to build something better looking and performing than they ever have.

Duskbloods whether y’all like it not is a spin off, and I’m all about it lol.

    16. When dusk bloods doesn’t take off, they’ll get the hint.

A multiplayer BB on switch just doesn’t seem like a winner to me.

If they want to do Bloodborne themselves then why not just do it

They said they were busy, yet finished Elden Ring and jumped to The Duskbloods…

So either do it or let someone else do a remake at least.

    18. I’m certain a Bloodborne Remaster is coming in the future. FromSoftware is just busy with other projects.
