I’m still really interested to see how this works.

As a gamer I want one, it’s perfect for me.

But if I was a MS suit I’d be concerned about how much money this thing could lose in recurring revenue for Xbox.

It better be like the current Xbox consoles because I don’t want to deal with the hassles of using a PC

I’m wanting this as a console player who has a PC cause to many games were missing xbox.

Was the only way I was going to possibly buy a new Xbox, so that’s good news

    5. So, how many of my children am I selling to afford this one? (Sarcasm, I promise). But seriously how expensive is this going to be?

    6. Wild Combination incoming.
      Steam and Xbox together.

And Xbox Games in Gamepass only.
No Disc Drive and so no physical Games.

    7. I wonder how they’ll treat online play. Will it still require a subscription?

    8. Shocker. It’s almost like Sarah Bond mentioned this to the Xbox Community before.

    9. So Xbox will have PS exclusives? Spiderman 1+2, GOW, GoT etc

Sony stopping their ports is making a lot more sense now.

    10. Hmmmm, sounds interesting. Last time brought a gaming PC was when HL2 came out. Console since

    11. Define PC games. Like, from the Xbox PC store? Or from Steam or GOG? Because there’s a huge difference.

    12. I know it’s been assumed for ages, but it’s still nice to see it confirmed. Definitely curious to see how this shakes out.

    13. the real question is how many xbox games will it play. just play anywhere games? all of xbox series? all of xbox one? any xbox 360 or originals?

If Xbox doesn’t mess this up and Sony sticks to the same old closed eco system this could get interesting

Hope they keep dev mode, playing gamecube,ps2 and wii games at 60 fps with high quality is a beauty.

    16. I’m not really convinced this is such a good idea, to be honest. I’d have to wait and see how it’s implemented, but no one wants Windows bloat and unnecessary processes running on a gaming console. Will it have CoPilot for example? Or Office? Besides, how are they making money if everyone is buying their games on Steam?

I’ll be even more impressed if they backport PC play into Xbox Series consoles, haha.

(I’d be surprised if such a feature needs some specialized hardware of Project Helix consoles, though it might be claimed certain hardware is “needed” for it)

Big question: will this allow Series X/S owners to have some availability to this?

A lot of people have these that are still on board with Xbox. This will be a difficult choice.

    19. Now that Sony has taken a step back in terms of releasing its games on PC, we won’t have the next PlayStation games on this new Xbox. Therefore, it won’t be a console that has “everything,” as some have speculated. I expect some key differences: free online access and easy emulation (depending on the operating system).

    20. I am curious now. I’d love a Windows PC and an Xbox console put into one neat little package. Although I am scared about how expensive it will be.

    21. Look, if somehow that means I can run Retroarch on my Xbox without doing anything funny, then I openly welcome the new Xbox overlords.

    22. I’m split here on this….. why you ask?

      1. I have a gaming PC, when I want to play a PC game and tinker to optimize games, I have a place for that and it blows away the Series X, so I am happy with it.

      2. When I use a console, I want a plug and play experience, no tweaking, no settings, I want to drop a game in and just play. Ease of use is important here.

I have no need for Steam games on my Xbox, or GOG, I buy an Xbox to play Xbox games, like I buy a PlayStation to play PlayStation games, or a Switch to play Nintendo stuff.. I can already do everything else with my PC.

      Get my point?

Wondering how it will compare to the Steam Box…
Like I don’t even know what to wish because everything is getting so expensive.
