I have a very large Steam library (2,000+ games). For as long as I can remember, I’ve wanted a tool that could look at my Steam history and recommend which game in my own library I should play next. I searched for something like this for years but never found anything that really did what I wanted.
So… I built it myself.
It uses your public Steam profile and the Steam API to analyze things like:
- Games you’ve put a lot of hours into
- Games in series where you’ve played some entries but not others
- Games you’ve reviewed positively on Steam
- Other similarity factors
Then it recommends games from your own library that you might enjoy next.
It also pulls in extra info like the Metacritic score, Steam tags, overall Steam ratings, and even a trailer (though the videos can sometimes take a moment to load).

Sounds like a good way to generate a list of high value accounts.
I’m sure steam already does this.
cool project!
Interesting note, it always has “Because you loved <most played game>” for all recs, regardless of genre, series, etc. I can’t imagine it’s actually taking that into account for all of these 😅
