Before I married my partner, when we first started dating, my computer died. They told me a $200-$300 entry-level desktop with 2 hand-me-down monitors would be fine. It wasn't. It took more than 5 minutes to boot up and crawled through opening programs and apps.

    They spent the next 5 years apologizing and asking if I wanted to get an upgrade. I really only used my computer for college so I said no.

    This month, they upgraded everything. They said it was overkill for what I needed "But better too good than too bad." It took 3 days to build/install everything.
