    1. Possibly notable:

      >Players should be able to play these games and more across devices, whether through purchases, subscriptions like Xbox Game Pass, or from other leading storefronts.

    2. This is kind of what I thought it would be. An “Xbox Mode” is basically just what they’ve been doing with the Ally across more devices. Unless there’s something special with Helix’s software, this is basically a direct Steam Machine competitor – not really a traditional console as we’ve known them.

“And, we’re committed to keeping games from four generations of Xbox playable for years to come. As part of our 25th anniversary later this year, we’ll be rolling out new ways to play some of the most iconic games from our past.”

If this winds up being Xbox backwards compatibility on PC I’d be delighted. Doubt it though.

    4. >Xbox mode

If this is the Xbox interface on a PC for a HTPC/console I’m definitely interested.

FSE is ok but still too *Windowsy* with the login screen and such.

If they’re going all in on this Xbox/PC hybrid console, I’d love for them to somehow make every game that is released for Helix to be an Xbox Play Anywhere game. If they want this to work like a PC then I think that would be a key feature for me.

It’d probably require a lot of cooperation from publishers, but there are times where I kind of regret buying a physical copy because a game gets added to Xbox Play Anywhere a little bit after release, like MGS Delta. It kind of makes me hesitate on buying a new game since I’d hope it comes to the program.

    6. This is exciting, but i wonder if they announced this too early? Dev kits in 2027 means release 2028 surely
