I already know how to turn off the annoying pop-ups. However every time I start steam there is a blue speaker in the top right corner, for Steam news. The only way to remove the blue notification is to click on it. This is just like a red dot notification on a phone or website that you need to click on it for it to go away. These notifications highlights are purposefully designed to be distracting so people click them. This is a good idea when sometime is important, however Steam News is not important.
Anyway to turn this off?

I mean what else could use the notifications? Also let’s be real, there are news once in a while, like… 2 times per week? I don’t think that clicking two times per week is really that big of a problem.
