NYC Attorney general and Lawsuit again valve

This will be mostly my own rant/opinion about the whole data protection laws, child protections laws, and most importantly, the US government in multiple states forcing many companies to track, collect more data aggressively and an overall overextending of governments recently.

Valve, has replied with a great strong position that will be solved in court, as Valve explained in the last paragraph, this will affect *You* even if you're not a US citizen.
Which leaves me to argue, that a lot of this is happening because a good amount of population of consumer user products and gamers. and on the opinion of both, "I dont care about politics" and the "I don't have anything to hide" narratives.

You by supporting companies that collect data on you, or subscribing to a dumbass subscription, is an actionable position that speaks louder than words, stating that you accept this kind of treatment as a consumer.

You, by basically inputting your credit card/debit card, is directly showing that you agree with it.

Not only that, but when your government puts a law proposition, that directly affects your privacy, and you choose inaction or "i dont care about politics", you're directly, agreeing to the law, silence is agreement in this case.

I suggest you look into r/privacy.

And please, remember that even if you choose to ignore the real world, the real world will affect your games, and it will affect you. you better show support and exercise your right to influence policies, otherwise you might not realize till you lost it.

I'm very happy to read your opinions about this, and I'd be even happier, if you stood your grounds in your respective countries, to protect your games. because the future looks gloomy even in our forms of escapism/fun.
