Will the Majora’s Mask New 3DS XL paint peel with daily use?

I’d like to ask for your advice. I want to buy the New 3DS XL Majora’s Mask Edition, but not just to display it—I actually want to use it as my daily console. Do you think that with a good quality case and a good screen protector I could play with it every day without the paint peeling? Or is that something inevitable with this console? Thank you very much.
