I originally thought display glasses would be more of a handheld/travel thing, but I’ve been using a pair of RayNeo display glasses with my PS5 lately and the use case ended up making a lot more sense than I expected.

Not as a full TV replacement. More as a really good “private screen” setup in a few specific situations.

The biggest one for me is late-night gaming. If I just don’t want a big screen lighting up the room, being able to plug in and play without taking over the whole space is actually kind of great. It also feels surprisingly nice for longer single-player sessions since I’m not leaning forward toward a screen the whole time. That said, I also don’t think this replaces a normal TV in every situation.

For anything social, couch co-op, or just casually playing while half-paying attention to other stuff in the room, I’d still rather use a normal screen. And I can also see why some people would try it once, think it’s cool, and then go right back to a TV.

So for me it’s less “this replaced my setup” and more “this turned out to be way more useful with PS5 than I expected in specific situations.”
