I got damaged 3ds xl with at least one broken screen, bottom digitizer with noticeable scratches & more potential issues. It was charging & turning on but there was no image on any of the screens. I decided to give it second life & restore it. I knew I had to replace both screens, but because of the condition of inner & outer shells (small crack near the hinge), I decided to make it black. After 4h+ its done, 3DS is brought back to life! There are 2 minor issues after finish, one is not working cameras, second is the top screen lens, which is a little smaller than original one, unfortunately there are little gaps where you can see metal part of the screen. Other than that, everything works fine! It was a quite challenging task, but satisfaction is huge!

The screen lens isn’t smaller btw. If you used a third party top screen, you can see the metal because there isn’t any adhesive on the metal parts of the screen
