hello friends! recently got a 3ds and trying to homebrew it, but the last person that had it(ebay) kinda screwed up maybe i dunno. it’s the OG 3ds(japan) and tried launching pokemon Y & doing the safety tests and scripts, but just gave black screens or error codes(shown above). been following the guide but can’t figure the problem
there’s no value to files or anything, but needed to ask if fully wiping the sd card will brick it or it will just reinstall stock firmware when plugged back in. thank you !!

from my experience, if no sd card is inside the device, i believe it still has cfw, but anything you had installed on your sd just dont be accessible. i believe if you do, there won’t really be any harm, but i wouldn’t recommend it are you planning on redoing the entire cfw install process?
