Not a bad price, just keep in mind it can only be used to store ps5 games your not currently playing.

If it works, probably. I have a 2TB external and it’s nice to move stuff to it I’m not going to use

It won’t hold ps5 games, those can only go on internal storage

I like my WD BLACK 2TB external drives for PS4 and Xbox backwards compatible games, but I would never waste time and money just to store PS5 games. I mean, you aren’t even playing them, so why not just delete?
If you really want more space, sell your PS5 and buy a PS5 Pro. It comes with 2TB. That or just delete Call of Duty to free up 300GB.

Not a bad price for 6TB. HDDs weren’t really affected too much with the current market. It’s more particularly SSDs and RAM.
Remember, with an external HDD, you can’t play PS5 games off of it, just for storage (as you did say in your post).
You can store and play PS4 games off of it though! I’ve got a 5TB Seagate I’ve had since the PS4 days that I still install and play PS4 games off of.

I only use my 5TB external drive (WD Passport) for PS4 games only (since they can be played from it). And I put a an extra 2TB SSD in the PS5 itself. I would never play the game of moving games back and forth to play them, but each their own. I prefer PS5 games installed to the internal and expansion SSD and only PS4 on the USB external.

Yeah once I found out you can’t play games from an external drive on PS5 pro, kinda made no sense. Additional internal storage would be nice, but not going to pay the inflated prices now.
