I know people like to laugh at Valve simps because yeah, the multi-billion dollar company doesn’t care about you. That’s not wrong.
But I swear these same people just completely ignore WHY Valve gets this special treatment for the sake of arguing.

The difference between a publicly traded company and a privately owned one has already been pointed out.
I’d like to add one more thing: Other than the tech-lords above, Gaben isn’t a neo-feudalist and doesn’t hate humans. He’s not actively working on dismantling democracy.
