As much as I love these consoles for their portability I’ve always wished they had a bit better battery life.
I don’t trust myself to do any hardware mods and new internal batteries can only do so much, so I’ve been looking at ways to use powerbanks.
Other people probably don’t get annoyed at having long cables connecting their powerbanks but for me that ruins some of the portability that I loved so much.
The two solutions I came up with were either to use a small powerbank hooked directly to the console via an adapter (which while not the most stable isn’t going to fall out unless you wave the console around). Or using a gym wrist pouch to keep the cable out of the way (which lets you use larger powerbanks at the expense of looking a bit goofy)
Both options are small and simple and easily fit into my travel pouch 🙂
Anyway I doubt anyone has this same issue with powerbanks as me but I thought I’d share anyway cause I mainly wanted to show off my two most goated handhelds 😎

Depends on what you’d consider portable. You can get small powerbanks that’d probably still charge either 2x over at least and sit in your pocket with a 1m cable, it’d be period appropriate considering phones/ipods and earbuds did the same thing.
