i was playing with my 3ds camera it appears so sensitive to infrared.
using an infrared flashlight 850 nm and also my phone auto focus 940 nm.
and also the entire room can go bright using an infrared but not my phone.
+ using a Nintendo switch controller on night vision app does seems to work as well.
is it because it doesn't have an ir cut filter ?

It uses IR as an everyday feature. “Night vision” is a side effect of the super-stable 3D. When the SS3D wants more light to focus the 3D image at you the little circle by the camera emits IR light to follow your face better.
