A new Sony patent proposes using phones as a powerful second input device to complement PlayStation controllers. It proposes attaching phones with controllers to use as a second or complementary controller. The phone's motion, imaging, touch, and audio features can be used in games for additional inputs.

Pass.
The Wii U is coming back.
Side note I kinda wish the portal was able to link the ps5 and be used for maps/menu and inventory stuff. Playing Zelda on the Wii U with those features was awesome and I feel like it would translate well with other games.
Finally, a use for all those random phone accessories collecting dust. The motion controls could actually be pretty slick for racing games – imagine using your phone as a steering wheel while your controller handles gas/brake.
Sounds awful.
Touch screen controls are utter wank
So is there a powerless playstation controller too?
Propriatery controllers or any controller? Because if it’s the latter, I’m all for this. Less stick drift to worry about.
“Your phone is a PlayStation!”
Sony taking ideas from Microsoft.
