new 3ds xl wont turn on :( asking for help

This is really hard on me bc this is a christmas gift frm last year and my mum is very upset at me for 'wasting' my money on such an old device so i already felt bad having it but it feels worst because its hasnt been long and my 3ds is fucking up. I have photos on there on the 3ds itself that are very valuable to me and i dont wanna lose. The original nintendo battery is slightly buldging and I only noticed after getting a new battery, so the buldging battery was inside the 3ds for a few days, a new battery i got on amazon was working fine for one day. But the red light was flashing to indicate it was dying but I used it for a few hours and ignored it. I recaliberated at home, by letting the 3DS die but i missed the step to press the power button for a minute to make sure its dead (i didnt realize i had to do that until after!) I did recharge too 100% (i assume because I left it on charge for 4-5 hours. Now the 3ds is powering on but only for a few seconds before turning off, also the power light flashes red, this is after the charge. Also after a few times of booting up the home menu, it started to boot up to too luma config screen, after saving and exiting the config screen it would show the home screen for a split and die. After a few attempts of that, exiting doesnt show the homescreen at all, after saving and exiting its just black. Also, without touching anything on the luma config screen, it goes black on its own… And anyways now the current situation is that it doesnt turn at all. The blue light does not flicker but their is an orange light when I plug it in. If i plug it in with the battery on the orange light lasts for a few seconds and i cant rlly turn it on and the blue light has never ever made a peep except when i described it as flashing red. Im very upset 🙁 this 3ds was precious to me and i have so many pictures and memories on it. I feel like a new battery wouldnt fix and i cant mail it too a repair shop and i dont have any experience to repair it so I don't know if this 3ds is dead forever but i wanna know what could be wrong with it.
