Correct. I remember when Xbox gold cost 60 dollars a year. There’s a reason I have only a Switch and play Steam games. I’m not paying 120+ a year to play online.

This isn’t going to age well when Nintendo and Steam raise prices for their products too. Tariffs, rising component costs thanks to AI, and war won’t uniquely impact just Playstation and Xbox.
