I mean even though I owned a 3DS for ages even after I was a teen, the switch 100% wins, it is in every possible way better with the exception of a lot of games that are exclusive to it still

My fire emblem new 3ds XL is pretty nice and if I sold it nowadays I’d get multiple the new price I paid back then.
So, buy a console original and legally, use it, keep it long enough.
