So I bought this 3ds xl about a month ago, and just noticed now that the bottom part isn't fully connected. I think it might be a swollen battery but I'm not really tech savvy so I'm not sure – any help would be greatly appreciated! 🙏

gotta take the bottom off to find out. but use a large enough screwdriver to not strip the screws.
