    1. I hope not. While I can appreciate the breath of fresh air (no pun intended) the new games brought, I miss the more linear experience with well curated dungeons to explore

    2. 3D Zelda hasn’t existed since Skyward Sword. Top down Zelda hasn’t existed since Spirit Tracks

      Edit: No a non linear aLttP reimagining, an open game where you play as zelda and don’t even use items, and an awakening remake do not count as a new Zelda game

      We wont know until the next couple come out. Odds are more traditional is bound to return sooner or later

      I think the larger open worlds/areas will be a mainstay generally for the mainline games, the freedom seems to really tap into the original intent for the Zelda formula, that sense of adventure and exploration. I just think the dungeons need perfecting next and that’ll be a bigger focus in the next game. I hope the shrines continue though, I love the bite size puzzle elements spread throughout a map.
