Its a really up in the air kinda thing. Some people have had some luck with fixing them with programs that swap pixels to different colors really quickly, or just in general not using the DS for a while. But thats probably just a bandaid, so just expect to need to replace it at some point, as it will only, unfortunately, get worse.
